Experience

Mr. Lawrence is an associate with the firm. He concentrates his practice in environmental and toxic tort litigation, products liability litigation, environmental regulatory permitting and compliance, and general commercial litigation.

Professional Background and Licensure

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lawrence was an associate with a boutique environmental and commercial litigation firm in Lansing, Michigan, where his practice involved litigating environmental permit violations and regulatory matters under the Federal Clean Water Act and Michigan’s Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA), among other environmental laws. He also has considerable experience in real estate, zoning, and land use litigation. In addition, Mr. Lawrence previously worked as a contract attorney on large commercial litigation cases involving antitrust, trademark, copyright, and unfair trade practice claims. While in law school, he was a Senior Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review, and a top-ten advocate in Cooley’s moot court and mock trial competitions. He is a member of the Litigation and Environmental Laws Section of the State Bar of Michigan, Section of Litigation and Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and is admitted on a pro hac vice basis in California.
