Experience
Mr. Sveska began practicing law in 1993 after practicing pharmacy for approximately 15 years. He defends pharmacists, physicians and other health care providers in malpractice or products liability litigation, drug and medical device manufacturers in products liability or related litigation, and other product manufacturers in products liability/toxic tort litigation. He has considerable experience handling health care malpractice claims, complex litigation, assessing and preparing experts and attorneys on scientific/medical issues, maintaining extensive databases on scientific literature and documents, and preparing Daubert challenges to plaintiff’s experts. Mr. Sveska has successfully tried many cases, and is also regularly involved in health care related regulatory matters including compliance audits, licensing, and FDA related issues. Professional Background and Licensure
Mr. Sveska practiced pharmacy in hospital, chain, and community pharmacy settings. He was most recently a Director of Pharmacy in a hospital setting. He is an active member of the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA), the Michigan Society of Hospital Pharmacists (MSHP), the Oakland County Pharmacists Association, and sits on the Education Committee of the American Society of Pharmacy Law (ASPL). He is a member of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Managers (MSHRM) and is admitted to the Michigan and Federal bars.
